Our Purpose
The Fiji Society acts as the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Fiji (APPG Fiji) and fosters UK-Fiji relations, promoting cultural, economic, and diplomatic ties.
It advocates for Fijian interests in Parliament, highlights contributions in trade and heritage, and strengthens collaboration on climate action, sustainable development, and diaspora engagement for a shared, prosperous future.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Fiji’s 150-year relationship with the UK is built on shared history and values, spanning the British Armed Forces, NHS, business, and environmental sectors.
As the most diverse nation in the South Pacific, Fiji is a hub for tourism, emerging technologies, and cultural heritage. While Fijian stories and traditions are increasingly represented in UK institutions, there is much more to share and celebrate.
A Platform for Advocacy & Cooperation
The APPG Fiji provides a dedicated forum for dialogue, collaboration, and policy development between the UK and Fiji. Through cross-party engagement, we work to deepen economic ties, advance sustainability efforts, and enhance cultural exchange, ensuring this enduring relationship continues to thrive.
